About the Awards

The INCITE Awards showcases ICT innovation and excellence across 10 awards - recognising individual achievement, product innovation and project excellence.

Our program provides opportunities to both the companies at the cutting edge of technology innovation as well as leading professionals across the industry to be recognised and celebrated.

Groups could be teams, companies or organisations whether an internal IT department, a start-up software developer or a joint client project. The INCITE Awards and the iAwards seek to shine a spotlight on ICT product, technical solutions or projects showcasing innovation.

The INCITE Awards and the iAwards also recognise the contribution of individuals in the ICT industry in the Professional Awards.  Many of these individuals work in larger organisations but the sector is also significant for the number of successful one-person or very small organisations who are world beaters in terms of innovative output.

The recognition of the work these people do, and their contribution to the strength of the overall digital economy, in Australia, is a vital element in ensuring ICT innovation is nurtured and encouraged.

It is worth your while to enter

Entering the Awards provides an excellent opportunity to promote yourself, your organisation, and your State, and to raise the profile of our industry.

Winning an award is known as the “ultimate convincer” which is useful if promoting your product or seeking investment funding. It is akin to reaching for a $20 bottle of wine in a bottle shop. If the choice is between a known brand and an unknown brand with awards stickers all over the neck for the same price, for some the Awards stickers clinch the deal. The buyer knows that the unknown brand has been judged by competent peers as being excellent, and therefore will be more willing to give the unknown brand a try.

But don't take our word for it, here's what our finalists had to say in a recent survey:

>50%

Help Refine Your Marketing Message

Over half the respondents said that the process of entry helped them understand their product and market potential. This is because the process forces some introspection and research into the product and market potential.

35%

Showcase Your Company and Clients

The primary reason for winning an award was to receive recognition for their company and/or product - the exposure offers credibility and prestige as they enter the market.

94%

Receive Recognition and Gain Credibility

35% of respondents also identified “to showcase clients” as a separate reason to enter, and 24% said that it was a “cost effective way to market themselves, their company or product”.
