Our Story
Since 1991, the INCITE Awards have recognised and celebrated technology and innovation excellence. As Western Australia's and Australia's longest running technology awards program, INCITE showcases and supports tech innovators in WA and is the state's only entryway to the national iAwards.
Since inception the INCITE Awards has received almost 1700 applications from digital and technology innovators across all ages and industry sectors. More than 300 of these have gone on to win at the national iAwards, and beyond at the international Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance Awards.
The INCITE Awards program involves a two-phased judging process, culminating in a black tie awards gala event in Perth where winners and merit recipients are announced.

Our Heritage
In 1991, Jim Ellis OAM, then Western Australian Branch Chair for the Australian
Computer Society,
founded the WA IT Awards. Later also known as the WA IT and T Awards, the program rebranded in 2014 to its current name, the
INCITE Awards, to reflect the true breadth of the technology sector. As the program grew, it led to the incoroporate of steward organisation WAITTA in 2016.
The INCITE Awards initially recognised outstanding contributions within Western Australia's ICT and telecommunications community.
Today, the awards celebrate excellence across the entire technology industry and community.
Since 2014, INCITE has been Western Australia's exclusive pathway to participating in the national iAwards, convened by the Australian
Information Industry Association,
the national Pearcey
Foundation Entrepreneur Awards,
and the international Asia-Pacific
ICT Alliance Awards.
